What is Elopement?
Elopement is a scary situation in which a child leaves a designated area by themselves. It includes wandering or outright running away. To help protect your child, develop a safety plan with neighbors and schools; have your child wear a bracelet with their ID or anything easily tracked by a GPS. Most importantly, talk with your child’s BCBA about ABA therapy interventions you can use to reduce the risk of elopement. Together, we can keep them safe and sound!
