Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo – Fort Worth
Lasso a day of family fun at the world’s original indoor rodeo that has been more than 125 years in the making. Rich in history and excitement, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo offers a true western experience like none other. Beyond the amazing rodeo competitions, there’s plenty of entertainment for the kiddos, including carnival games and rides, a petting zoo with pony rides, a milking parlor, and the Children’s Barnyard where kiddos can learn how different animals are born and cared for. Now through February 7, 8 am-10:30 pm daily. General admission free for ages 5 and under. Rodeo tickets sold separately.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Interactive Show – Dallas
Experience the spellbinding stories and colorful characters of beloved author and artist Eric Carle in a whole new way! This innovative stage production at the Dallas Children’s Theater brings to life four cherished stories through handcrafted puppets, world-class puppeteering, and original music that invite little ones to play along, as the worlds of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, and The Very Lonely Firefly magically unfold before their eyes. Recommended for children 3 years old and up. Approximately one hour long. Several shows throughout February.
Harlem Globetrotters 100 Year Tour – Dallas
For an afternoon of family fun and memory making, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters offer you a slam dunk. America’s basketball ambassadors have been entertaining and inspiring audiences for 100 years now! This year is the team’s centennial season, and it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your kiddo’s face, thanks to dazzling ball-handling, dunks for days, out-of-this-world trick shots, and amazing teamwork and sportsmanship.
