Here’s a look at some of the programs that will be featured this summer at The Behavior Exchange.

Behavior Exchange Early Start (B.E.E.S.)
B.E.E.S. is structured like a pre-school or kindergarten, where groups of 2-3 children are encouraged to learn through fun activities, like circle time, music and movement, arts and crafts, and sing-a-longs. Heavy focus is on social, peer-to-peer interaction to help children make a smooth transition to school. The goal is to equip them with the necessary listening and communication skills they will need to be successful in a group social setting.

Social Skills
Social Skills is a group therapy program designed for older, school-aged children who have difficulty interacting with peers and making friends. Through fun and age-appropriate activities, children learn basic to complex skills associated with holding a conversation, being a good sport, and empathizing and relating to others. Science, art, music, academic enrichment, technology, gaming activities, and occasional field trips are all used to motivate and engage children without pressure so they can build self-confidence.

One-on-one therapy is highly intensive and focused on the specific needs of a child. Our degreed ABA therapists can help children in many areas of development, including communication, instruction following, interacting with peers, sibling relationships, self-help and motor skills, and so much more. Compliance and cooperation skills are especially important, because once children master these skills, they can participate in more advanced therapy, like the Behavior Exchange Early Start (B.E.E.S.) and Social Skills programs.
