What is Generalization?
Generalization is an important goal in ABA therapy. It’s when your child can apply something they’ve learned during a specific situation to other similar situations. For example, your child has generalized the word “cat” when they can look at a super fluffy Persian and a completely hairless Peterbald and identify them both as cats.
